Altoona, PA: A $22 Million expansion and upgrade to a 35 MGD plant. Major components of the project included BNR upgrades, clarifier renovations, Ultraviolet disinfection facilities, and pretreatment upgrades.
The upgrade involved state of the art Nutrient Removal Technology (NRT) reactors and conversion of existing aeration to accommodate the new technology.
